International women’s day is Google Women techmakers’ largest annual event campaign where different ambassadors all around the world host events during the month of March and April to celebrate remarkable achievements of women.

These events are a time to share, learn and connect with our tech communities.

This year the theme for the Google women techmakers IWD 2023 is “Dare to be” where we were empowering our communities to have the courage, to be confident, innovative and to be bold, to take all risks and be what they want to be.

Google Women techmakers Jinja held IWD 2023 celebrations on the 25th March at the Innovation village jinja, we had a great all day event where we had over 50 attendees, incredible speakers and panelists sharing their experiences. This events are not only for women, we also welcome Gentlemen that support women in tech.

The Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Community Summit is a summit held every year to bring together organizers of different Google Developer Groups (GDGs) from various locations in the region to share their experiences, and to inspire each other with success stories.
